The new kitchen counter extends to the existing corner window. That end of the room has the sink and dishwasher, but in what arrangement?
Traditionally, the sink is in front of a window, so that mothers can stare at the horizon, contemplating the life choices that got them there. I mean, so they can watch the children play in the yard. But it doesn't make sense to have the sink right at the glass, with no counter to the right of the sink and no possibility of a backsplash.
The wall cabinet doesn't need to be there, but I don't think we can open a window on the north wall due to lateral forces.
There are four options (six if you separate the sink from the dishwasher, which doesn't seem good):

I think I like Option 4. The sink is more likely to be used than the utilitarian dishwasher. Next question is what should the cabinet above look like? What will it hold? It could raise up, it could be open shelves. What would you put in there if it were your kitchen, he asked no one in particular.
